Adam's vision is simple and clear: he wants to help all children and young people from difficult family backgrounds and street children to get an education.
Adam's storyFive enthusiastic people are helping Adam's dream of a school education for street children in Accra, Ghana, to take flight. The EMASHIE association, founded in 2023, is intended to sustainably finance the construction, operation and maintenance of this social project. There is a close connection between the board members and the wonderful country of Ghana, its people and culture.
The EMASHIE association aims to provide sustainable funding for the construction, operation and maintenance of the school in Accra. The funds for this social project are raised through membership fees, fundraising campaigns and cultural events. These many long-standing, very personal and family relationships guarantee 100% certainty that every franc will go exclusively to this school. We see this as a long-term project, designed to run for 10 to 20 years. State kindergarten and primary school education is free in Ghana. As school meals, teaching materials, exercise books and school uniforms cost money that many families cannot afford, many Ghanaian children still do not attend school. Our EMASHIE school will open the door for them and provide a high-quality basic education. The EMASHIE Association would like to see a step-by-step development from two years of kindergarten and all six basic levels through to vocational school based on the Swiss model and quality.

Over the next 10 years, EMASHIE wants to raise enough money to build and run a kindergarten and an elementary school.
Phase I: Construction of the physical building for the school - first floor. Funds required for commissioning CHF 70,000.
Phase II: First floor for an additional four classes. Funds required CHF 50'000.
Phase III: Second floor with completion of the building for an additional four classes. Funds required CHF 50,000.
A vocational school is to be set up in the long term. Young women and men will be trained as gardeners, carpenters, hairdressers and barbers etc.
The six founding members of EMASHIE share at least one passion. Ghanaian drumming. They want to support Adam's project and help finance the construction of schools and the education of Ghanaian street children.
The necessary money is raised through concerts, events and club contributions. The first public Emashie event will take place on 2.12.2023 in the Salzhaus Brugg. We will present our school project to the public for the first time. This will also mark the start of our fundraising efforts.
The construction of the foundation is already underway. The aim is to complete the first floor of the building so that classes can begin. Cost: CHF 70,000. As soon as we have the money together, we will get started.
